The motive of the bursary is to support overseas students who want to pursue an undergraduate degree at the University of St. Andrews in the UK.

Founded in 1413, the University of St Andrews is Scotland’s oldest and highest-ranking university and ranked 92nd in the world. St Andrews scored highly in the most recent Research Excellence Framework, especially for its work with Edinburgh University on chemistry and physics.

Global Merit Awards at University of St. Andrews, UK for Bachelor Founded in 1413, University of St Andrews is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the medium-sized town of St Andrews (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Scotland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, University of St Andrews is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 9,000-9,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of St Andrews offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded an undergraduate degree in any subject offered by the university.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Only available to students entering their first year of an undergraduate degree.

Offered Benefits

The university will provide the amount of up to £5,000 for talented students for the academic year 2022-2023.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: All international applicants first apply at the university for an undergraduate degree and after that, they can apply for the scholarship.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must be required to provide a statement of motivation in support of their application. This should include your reasons for applying for the opportunity , explaining how you would expect to benefit from the opportunities the award provides and describing how you think you might contribute to the community while studying at the University of St Andrews. Also include details of academic achievements which you believe would make you a good candidate for this application .
  • Applicants will also be required to provide two references; both an academic and personal letter of recommendation.
  • Admission Requirements: Students must follow all the admission requirements before they apply to the university.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must complete the English Language requirements given by the university.

Application Deadline: The application opens at the End of October 2021 closes on 1 February 2022.
