The Glasgow Caledonian University Scholarships are open for international students. These scholarships are available to pursue the undergraduate and postgraduate programme for the academic year 2017-2018.

Scholarships can help reduce the cost of your tuition fees in Scotland and bursaries provide you with financial support during your studies here.

Glasgow Caledonian University is a public university in Glasgow, Scotland. It was formed in 1993 by the merger of The Queen’s College, Glasgow and Glasgow Polytechnic.

If student’s native language is not English, they will be required to demonstrate their English proficiency by gaining an English language qualification prior to the commencement of the programme.

Glasgow Caledonian University Scholarships for International Students in UK, 2017 Founded in 1993, Glasgow Caledonian University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Glasgow (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Scotland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 26 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

Loyalty Scholarships Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students: The fee discounts are applicable to self-funded international students only.

Undergraduate self-funded international students must have successfully completed;

  • A Foundation, Premasters or Pre-sessional course with INTO GCU
  • Or a GCU Summer School
  • Or an exchange programme at GCU

Postgraduate self-funded international students must have successfully completed;

  • An undergraduate degree from GCU (must have graduated)
  • Or a Foundation, Pre-masters or Pre-sessional course with INTO GCU
  • Or a GCU Summer School
  • Or an exchange programme at GCU

GCU New Undergraduate Student Scholarship: The fee discounts are applicable to self-funded undergraduate international students only.

GCU New Postgraduate Student Scholarship: The fee discounts are applicable to self-funded postgraduate international students only.

Postgraduate Ambassador Studentship: Any International student who can demonstrate how they have contributed to the ‘Common Good’

  • Have you volunteered?
  • University will be asking for the interpretation of the motto, and how best you can both continue to add value and complement our high levels of integrity and authenticity, so to make a positive difference during your time as a student, and then alumni of Glasgow Caledonian University.

Offered Benefits

Loyalty Scholarships Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students:

  • Undergraduate students receive £2,000 towards their first annual fees and £1,000 for each subsequent year of their degree. Up to £5,000 over 4 years.
  • Postgraduate students receive £2,000 towards the first year of their annual tuition fees and £1,000 for any subsequent year.

GCU New Undergraduate Student Scholarship: Undergraduate students receive £1,000 towards their first annual fees and £1,000 for each subsequent year of their degree. Up to £4,000 over 4 years.

GCU New Postgraduate Student Scholarship: Undergraduate students receive £1,600 towards their first annual fees and £1,000 for each subsequent year of their degree. Up to £2,600 over 2 years.

Postgraduate Ambassador Studentship:

  • £15,000 full fee scholarship
  • 15% off campus accommodation; for the first year of study
  • One year ARC health and fitness membership
  • Plus 10 hours per week paid work placement

Application Process

Students will automatically receive the fee discount when you are offered a place on your chosen course, and at the time of invoicing for each subsequent year of your degree if you meet the criteria above.
