Ghent University is inviting applicants to apply for a Fully-funded PhD Position within the ERC-funded DIADAPT Project. The research focuses on understanding how diatoms adapt to climate change through comparative genomics and transcriptomics.
Applicants must hold a master’s degree in Biology, Bioscience Engineering, Biochemistry & Biotechnology, Marine and Lacustrine Science and Management, or a related field. Final-year Master’s students can also apply. Candidates should have a strong interest in microbiology, adaptation, and genomics, possess good analytical and communication skills, and preferably have experience with R, Python, or other scripting languages.
