Fully Funded: University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarships 2026 for Bachelor Founded in 1824, The University of Manchester is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Manchester (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), North West England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, The University of Manchester is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Manchester offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 195 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

You must meet all of the following:

  • You're at serious risk due to war or conflict.
  • You had to leave your home country (or move within it) in the last three years because of conflict.
  • You cannot start or finish a university degree.
  • You've never studied in the UK or EU before.
  • You've applied for an undergraduate course starting in September 2026 at The University of Manchester.
  • You can explain why you want to study this course.
  • You've done well in your previous studies.

Please note: you can't apply if you’re currently living in the UK or EU.

  • You don't?need to show proof of your English language skills when you apply through UCAS or when you apply for the Scholarship. However, if you’re offered a place at The University of Manchester, you must meet the English language requirements stated in your offer letter. 
  • It's important to note that the University does not accept Duolingo English test results.

  • Please note that the scholarship does not cover any pre-sessional English courses at the University.
