Swansea University and Tata Steel’s Industrial iCASE Award are eagerly awaiting applications from outstanding students to apply for Fully Funded TATA Steel PhD Scholarships for the academic session 2021/2022.

The funding programme encourages talented students who want to undertake a PhD degree in Mathematics, Physics or Engineering at the university. The bursary is available for the UK/EU students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Applications are accepted from the UK/EU.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD degree programme in Mathematics, Physics or Engineering at the university.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Must hold a minimum of an upper second class (2:1) honours degree (or it’s equivalent) in Mathematics, Physics or Engineering with proof of knowledge in dealing with partial differential equations.
  • Must have basic knowledge of either numerical methods, material physics or thermodynamics would be required.

Offered Benefits

The Swansea University will offer full cost of UK/EU tuition fees and an annual stipend of £20,000, and there will be additional funds available for research expenses.

  • How to Apply: To be considered for the opportunity s, all interested candidates are required to take admission in a PhD degree at the Swansea University. After getting enrolled, applicants must complete and submit the online application form.
  • Supporting Documents: Candidates must submit all the following documents: Two-page CV, Degree certificates and transcripts of the previous academic years, A cover letter including a ‘Supplementary Personal Statement’ to explain why the position matches your skills and experience and why you choose to develop the project, Contact details of two references (academic or previous employer)
