  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a PhD in Civil Engineering.
  • Admissible Criteria:
    • Hold an undergraduate or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
    • Background in computational modelling, specifically in finite element methods.
    • Programming skills in C++, Python, or Matlab are desirable.
    • Familiarity with the physics of laser shock peening is beneficial but not required.
    • Meet Swansea University’s English language requirements (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent).
