Fully Funded STFC and Swansea University PhD Scholarship for International Students in the UK Established in 1920, Swansea University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Swansea (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Wales. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Swansea University is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Swansea University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree in Theoretical Physics
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Applicants must generally hold an undergraduate degree at the 2.1 level or a master’s degree with a minimum overall grade at ‘Merit’ (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University).

  • How to Apply: To apply for the program, applicants must take  admissionin the PhD degree program at Swansea University. After enrolling, email  pgrscholarships-at-swansea.ac.uk, where staff will be happy to assist you in submitting your application.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must upload the following documents
  • CV
  • Degree certificates and transcripts (if they are currently studying for a degree, screenshots of their grades to date are sufficient).
  • A cover letter including a ‘Supplementary Personal Statement’ to explain why the position particularly matches their skills and experience and how they choose to develop the project.
  • Two references (academic or previous employer).
  • Evidence of meeting English Language requirements (if applicable).
  • Copy of UK resident visa (if applicable).
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must meet the program requirements they wish to apply for at Swansea University.
  • Language Requirement: Candidates must meet the English proficiency requirements for entry to Swansea University.
