To provide a funding source to international students undertaking their higher studies in the UK, Swansea University has organized the Fully Funded PhD Studentship in Zero-knowledge Succinct Non-interactive Argument of Knowledge for Public Good for the academic year 2025-2026.

Applicants must hold a UK Bachelor’s degree with at least Upper Second Class honours in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or an equivalent international qualification. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to applicants worldwide
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in the PhD in Computer Science program, focusing on formal verification, cryptography, and electronic voting.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
  1. Hold a UK Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Upper Second Class honours in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent overseas degree (evaluated by UK ECCTIS). Alternatively, possess a Master’s degree with a minimum grade of ‘Merit’ or equivalent.
  2. Demonstrate proficiency in English (IELTS 6.5 overall with at least 6.0 in each component or equivalent).
  3. Be comfortable with functional programming languages such as Haskell or OCaml, and possess familiarity with Coq and cryptography.
  4. Complete the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Monitoring Form as part of the application process.
