Swansea University is offering Fully Funded PhD Scholarship in Toric Geometry and Multivariate Splines for the academic session 2025/2026.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must hold a first-class UK undergraduate degree (or international equivalent) or an upper second-class undergraduate degree with a distinction in a relevant UK master’s degree. Fully Funded PhD Scholarship in Toric Geometry and Multivariate Splines, UK Established in 1920, Swansea University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Swansea (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Wales. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: UK students and International students may apply (will be considered for a SUIPRES Scholarship to cover the difference in tuition fees).
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects:
  • The scholarship will be awarded for a PhD in Mathematics.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Academic Qualifications:
    • A first-class UK undergraduate degree (or equivalent international qualification) OR
    • An upper second-class UK undergraduate degree and a distinction in a UK master’s degree (or international equivalent).
    • Candidates holding multiple master’s degrees must have a distinction in the most relevant degree.
    • Applicants currently completing a master’s degree must achieve a minimum 70% average in taught modules and submit their dissertation by 30 September 2025.
  • English Language Proficiency: IELTS score of 6.5 overall with at least 6.5 in each component or equivalent recognized by Swansea University (if applicable).
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Applicants must begin their studies in October 2025.
    • Applicants requiring ATAS clearance (if applicable) will be guided post-award.

Offered Benefits

  • Fully funded scholarship includes:
    • Tuition fees at the UKRI rate (currently £19,237 for 2024/25, subject to annual review).
    • Annual stipend at the UKRI standard rate.
    • £1,000 annual training allowance for conferences, industry engagement, and international collaborations.
  • International students may receive a SUIPRES Scholarship covering the difference between UK and international tuition fees.

    • Answer “No” to the question: “Are you funding your studies yourself?”
    • Enter “RS759 – SURES FSE” under “Name of Individual or Organisation Providing Funds for Study.”
