Energy 2050 is offering fully funded PhD scholarship on developing advanced models for future power generation technologies at University of Sheffield in UK. UK/EU students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The studentship will support a highly motivated researcher to undertake cutting edge research on developing advanced models that are relevant to future energy and power generation technologies.

Energy 2050 is one of the UK’s largest energy research institutes. Based at the University of Sheffield, we have over 120 academics and more than 250 PhD students undertaking energy research and innovation.

Fully Funded PhD Scholarship for UK/EU Students at University of Sheffield in UK, 2017 Founded in 1905, The University of Sheffield is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Sheffield (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Yorkshire and the Humber. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, The University of Sheffield is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Sheffield offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:

Potential applicants should have, or are expecting to obtain in the near future, a first class honours degree in engineering, mathematics, or science. The studentship is open to UK/EU candidates only. The successful candidate should fulfil the eligibility criteria for EPSRC funding through UK/ EU nationality and residency status.

Offered Benefits

The studentship will be available for a period of 3 years at the standard RCUK rate which covers UK/EU fees and includes a non-taxable stipend at the RCUK rate (£14,296 in 2016/2017) and a budget for IT equipment, books, software and travelling to conferences, and/or project meetings.
