  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • Hold a master’s degree in robotics, electrical engineering, welfare technology, machine learning, or a relevant field
  • Proficiency in areas such as robotics, programming (particularly in C++, Python and ROS), artificial intelligence, machine learning, COMSOL simulation, experiment design, and data analysis
  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work well in interdisciplinary teams, high self-motivation to learn, work independently, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Offered Benefits

Employment of a PhD fellow can only happen after the PhD School has approved the candidate for admission. Employment and enrollment will cease without further notice at the end of the period. A PhD fellow is not allowed to have any kind of sideline employment, while enrolled as PhD fellow at the faculty.

Employment as a PhD fellow is a 3-year salaried position and is governed by the Protocol on PhD Research Fellows signed by the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. Further information about salary and conditions of employment.

  • Application Procedure: Applicants must submit a motivation letter (max. 2 pages) clearly stating their interest, qualifications, and motivation for the position, along with stating their preferred project (Project 1 or Project 2)
  • Provide a detailed Curriculum Vitae
  • Include verified copies of official bachelor and master’s diplomas and transcripts of exams, both in the original language and in professional English translation
  • Complete the TEK PhD application form for 5+3 applicants and the TEK PhD form for calculation of grade point average
  • Include an official document describing the grading scheme of the awarding universities (if not Danish)
  • Optionally, provide references, reference letters, list of publications, and examples of relevant publications
  • Submit the application before the deadline through the official recruitment portal.
