A fully funded PhD Position is now open in Epidemiological Data Collection, Scenario Analysis, and Implementation Sciences as part of the innovative ANTICIPATE project. This interdisciplinary program, led by Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and University Hospital Brussels (UZ Brussel) in collaboration with the University of Antwerp, aims to enhance pandemic preparedness through AI-driven modeling, clinical data strategies, and real-world implementation research. The successful candidate will work with leading experts across epidemiology, public health, and artificial intelligence, gaining access to advanced tools, international collaborations, and rich clinical datasets.

Eligibility for this PhD position requires applicants to hold a master’s degree in biomedical sciences, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, medical sociology, or a related field. Candidates should have a strong interest in infectious disease modeling and interdisciplinary implementation research, with experience in data analysis (R or Python) and/or clinical data management considered an advantage.
