Applications are being accepted from outstanding students for the Fully-Funded EPSRC PhD Scholarship in Circular Approach to On-body Renewable Energy Generators. This study programme is organized by the Swansea University for the academic session 2025/2026.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on wearable energy technologies.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Hold a UK Bachelor’s degree with Upper Second-Class honours or an equivalent overseas qualification in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English (IELTS 6.5 overall, with no component below 5.5, or an equivalent).
  • Have a passion for wearable technologies, sustainable energy, and additive manufacturing.
  • Be willing to collaborate across disciplines, including chemistry, physics, and medicine.

Additional notes:

  • ATAS clearance may be required post-award (details provided upon acceptance).
  • International students must meet UKRI eligibility requirements and fall within the 30% cap for international candidates.
