The UK Government – Chevening Secretariat is inviting applications for the 2026–2027 Chevening Scholarships from outstanding individuals in Trinidad and Tobago. This fully funded award offers the opportunity to pursue a one-year master’s degree at any UK university, covering tuition fees, monthly stipend, travel costs, visa fees, and more.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be citizens of Trinidad and Tobago, hold an undergraduate degree qualifying them for a UK master’s programme, and have at least two years of work experience. They must apply to three eligible UK university courses, receive at least one unconditional offer, and commit to returning to Trinidad and Tobago for a minimum of two years after completing their studies.

The UK Government – Chevening Secretariat oversees the Chevening Scholarships, the UK’s premier international awards programme. Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations, it manages the selection and support of exceptional individuals from around the world. By offering fully funded master’s degrees in the UK, the Secretariat aims to develop future leaders, strengthen global networks, and promote lasting international cooperation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Trinidad and Tobago

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for any one-year master’s degree programme at any UK university.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

    • Be a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago and return to the country for at least two years after completion of the award.

    • Have an undergraduate degree enabling entry into a UK postgraduate programme.

    • Have at least two years (2,800 hours) of work experience.

    • Apply to three eligible UK university courses and receive at least one unconditional offer by the required date.

    • Meet the Chevening English language requirements (if applicable).

Offered Benefits

As a fully funded award, the Chevening Scholarship covers:

  • University tuition fees.

  • A monthly stipend.

  • Travel costs to and from the UK.

  • Arrival and departure allowances.

  • Visa application costs.

  • A travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK.
