Applicants must hold an English language qualification of IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent with no subskill below 6.0 if their first language is not English.

Full and Partial Law Scholarships for International Students for Master Founded in 1963, Newcastle University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Newcastle upon Tyne (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), North East England. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Newcastle University is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Newcastle University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 56 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. Eligibility Criteria

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship.

The Sir Mark Waller Postgraduate Law Scholarships are awarded exclusively on academic merit in recognition of academic excellence. This includes:

  • Recent graduates
  • Undergraduates completing their course before September 2016
  • Those currently completing professional legal qualifications
  • Non-Law graduates in a discipline related to the programme
  • International and home/EU students

Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence which is commensurate with a 2:1 Honours degree award or equivalent.

Applicants whose first language is not English and who have not undertaken any programme of study in which English is the medium of instruction will be required to show adequate language proficiency for postgraduate study in Law. Our requirement is IELTS 6.5 with at least 6.5 in writing.

Offered Benefits

Full and partial (£2,500-£3,000) tuition fee scholarships will be awarded.

Number of Scholarships: 6 for international students, 2 for home/EU students.
