Fulbright Scholarships for US Students at University of Jyvaskyla, Finland Established in 1934, Jyväskylän yliopisto (University of Jyväskylä) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Jyväskylä (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Central Finland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö, Suomi (Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland), Jyväskylän yliopisto (JYU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Jyväskylän yliopisto (JYU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 85 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades.   • The Fulbright-University of Jyvaskyla Graduate Award includes a includes a monthly grant of EUR 1 000
  • A travel award (USD 1600)

  • A supplemental accident and sickness benefit (ASPE).

  • Participation in a Fulbright Finland Foundation pre-approved summer school in Finland consisting of courses on Finnish language, culture, and society, pending availability of suitable programs free of charge
  • Opportunity to apply for additional funding from the Lois Roth Endowment
  • Alumni network and activities provided for the grantees of the Fulbright Finland Foundation programs.
