Fulbright-Hays Faculty Research Abroad (FRA) Program in USA for Fellowship

Eligibility Criteria

• Eligible Countries: Institutions of higher education in the United States
• Acceptable Course or Subjects: Any subject offered by the university
• Admissible Criteria: To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Citizenship, nationality, or permanent residency in the United States.
• Employment at an institution of higher education.
• Engagement in relevant teaching for the two years prior.
• Proposal for research pertinent to their foreign language or area studies specialization (excluding dissertation research).
• Proficiency in the foreign language necessary for the research project.

Offered Benefits

The Fulbright-Hays FRA Fellowship Program covers a spectrum of expenses including:

• Travel expenses to and from the research destination.
• Maintenance stipend to supplement academic year salary.
• Allowance for research-related expenses overseas, covering various needs such as books, copying, tuition and affiliation fees, local travel, and other incidental expenses.
