Nice offer to visit France with a summer program.French Institute of Denmark (Institut français du Danemark) provides high-quality French courses at all levels and for all age groups – from 8 years old. Founded in 1907, it promotes the French language, art, science, and culture in Denmark and supports French culture internationally.

Why apply to this summer program? By joining this 3- to 4-week program, applicants can explore scientific and technical cutting-edge sectors through site visits to companies, conferences, and encounters with specialists in the field. Also, it can acquire or improve students’ communication skills in French and discover four of the most beautiful regions of France.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for the summer program in various scientific fields.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • French Sciences is designed for international English-speaking students in Sciences who may be complete beginners in French: the scientific content is 100% taught in English.
  • University students in scientific and technical fields, English speakers (B2 level required), and complete beginners in French.
  • Any pupil or student above 18 years old interested in scientific disciplines and sustainability.
  • Undergraduate (bachelor’s level) students are seeking a period of language, scientific, and cultural immersion in France.
  • Language requirements: In French: beginner (or better). In English: level B2 required

Offered Benefits

The French Institute of Denmark will offer four grants to the best candidates for French + Sciences programs in 2023. These grants cover all expenses: transport, housing, cultural activity, French teaching, and daily allowance.

All the participants are considered future professionals working in high-level private companies or public institutions. By participating in one of the summer schools, international students will have the opportunity to:

  • Discover a beautiful French region: Bretagne, Normandie, or Occitanie.
  • Learn more about high-level scientific and technological topics, thanks to private companies visits, conferences, and meetings with reknoned specialists.
  • Start learning French, or improve your French language capacities.
  • Live this life-changing experience with other international students from all over the world.
  • Get 6 ECTS credits.
