To provide a funding source to international students undertaking their higher studies in Switzerland, the Franklin University Switzerland has organized the Postdoctoral Position for the academic year 2025-2026.

To be eligible for the postdoctoral position at Franklin University Switzerland, applicants must hold a PhD in political science or a related discipline and demonstrate a strong interest in political behavior and/or nationalism. They should have experience with quantitative research methods, a proven track record of academic research, and the ability to work independently and lead a small team

Franklin University Switzerland Postdoctoral Position, Switzerland for Fellowship Founded in 1902, Franklin University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Columbus (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Ohio. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Higher Learning Commission, Franklin University is a medium-sized (uniRank enrollment range: 7,000-7,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Franklin University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible to apply.

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in Political Science or related disciplines offered by Franklin University Switzerland.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:

    • Hold a PhD in political science or a closely related discipline.

    • Demonstrated interest and research experience in political behavior and/or nationalism.

    • Proven track record in academic research, ideally including publications or funded research.

    • Strong knowledge of quantitative research methods.

    • Ability to work independently and lead a small team.

    • Excellent command of English.

    • Willingness to learn basic Italian (A1 level) within two years.

    • Additional languages relevant to the project are considered a plus.
