A generous donation from the Sophia Fund, has enabled the establishment of the Sophia Fund Indigenous Bursaries. They have been established to encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to undertake a higher education course.
These bursaries are funded from a donation made by the Sophia Fund. The award will continue as long as donations and earnings thereon are sufficient.
Established in 1966, Flinders University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Adelaide (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), South Australia. Subject to the availability of funds, two bursaries will be awarded annually and will be valued at $500 each.
These bursaries will be awarded to students in their first year of higher education study. Payment will be made during the first semester.
Applications should be submitted online through the Flinders University Student Information System. Applicants will need to login and navigate to the My Scholarships tab to submit an application. The application form for this scholarship is called “Indigenous Scholarships”, or you can search for it by the keyword "Indigenous". You will be considered for multiple scholarships if you complete this application.
