First Talent Scholarships for International Students at Utrecht University, Netherlands for Master Established in 1636, Universiteit Utrecht (Utrecht University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Utrecht (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap, Nederland (Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Netherlands), Universiteit Utrecht (UU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Universiteit Utrecht (UU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 383 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: International entrants from EU and Non-EU countries, including Mexico, Azerbaijan, Germany, Italy, Romania, Columbia, Bangladesh, Russia, Brazil, and Taiwan, are eligible to apply for the opportunity .
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Applicants are eligible to apply to the School of Law, School of Economics, and School of Governance.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be accepted in either of the eligible programmes.

Offered Benefits

Utrecht University will provide selected students who have to pay statutory tuition fees a sum of 5,000 EUROS and 17,500 EUROS to students who have to pay institutional fees from EU / EAA countries towards the total amount of payable fees.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: The students are required to fill an online application form of the university. The accepted applicants will be considered.
  • Supporting Documents: The applicants must submit the following documents:
  • Transcripts till the most recent education
  • Letters of reference
  • Letter of motivation
  • CV
  • Copy of passport for proof of identity
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must hold relevant bachelor’s degree certification in high regard to be admitted to any master’s degree programme at UU.
  • Language Requirement: The applicants must attain minimum required scores on the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL – 100
  • IELTS – 7
  • Cambridge – 194; CAE B
  • The applicants must submit NT2 for programs taught in Dutch.
