Bard College Berlin is offering the First Generation Scholarships to support highly motivated students who demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence for the academic year 2022-2023.

The award is open for international students who wish to pursue an undergraduate degree at Bard College Berlin. The scholarship program will cover the full programme fee up to four years.

First Generation International Scholarships in Germany for Bachelor Founded in 1999, Bard College Berlin is a private higher education institution located in the large city of Berlin (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Senatskanzlei Wissenschaft und Forschung, Berlin (Senate Chancellery for Science and Research, Berlin), Bard College Berlin is a very small (uniRank enrollment range: 250-499 students) coeducational higher education institution. Bard College Berlin offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All foreign students are eligible to apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Bachelor degree programmes available at Bard College Berlin can be applied for.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must the first to attend college in their family.

Offered Benefits

The students selected by Bard College Berlin will be provided up to the full on-campus comprehensive fee renewable for four years.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Students can either apply through the Common Application or through the Bard College Application System. Students need to fill the Student financial Statement form and submit it with the admission application.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Motivation Statement
  • Graded writing sample
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Official transcripts
  • Admission Requirements: All application materials should be in English or German or should be submitted together with certified English translations. SAT or ACT scores are optional.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 7.0
  • TOEFL IBT – 95
  • CAE – A to C
  • CPE – A to C
  • TOEFL Essentials – 10
  • Duolingo – 120
