The Feinberg Graduate School (FGS) encapsulates the spirit of inquiry and discovery. Since its establishment in 1958 as the academic arm of the Weizmann Institute of Science responsible for all student and postdoctoral affairs, the Feinberg Graduate School has established its reputation as a multidisciplinary center where students strive to reach the highest levels of knowledge and understanding, under the guidance of creative and original researchers in the natural sciences and mathematics.

MSc Fellowships

Full-time MSc students at the Feinberg Graduate School are entitled to a monthly fellowship for 24 months. If you receive the fellowship, you are expected to devote all of your time to studies and scientific research

The monthly fellowship paid to MSc students is NIS 5,930. This amount is not dependent on your field of research, marital status, location of residence or any other criteria.

PhD Fellowships

Full-time PhD students at the Feinberg Graduate School are entitled to a monthly fellowship for 4.5 years. If you receive the fellowship, you are expected to devote all of your time to studies and scientific research

Fellowship in the First Year of Studies - During the first year of PhD studies, students are entitled to a fellowship in the amount of NIS 6,805. This amount is not dependent on your field of research, marital status, location of residence or any other criteria.

Fellowship in the Second Year of Studies - During the second year of PhD studies, students are entitled to a fellowship in the amount of NIS 7,840. You are entitled to this fellowship after the approval of your research proposal, retroactively - from the month following the one in which the research proposal was submitted. This amount is not dependent on your field of research, marital status, location of residence or any other criteria.

Fellowships in the PhD track for Specialist MD's and Resideents - The fellowship is a level of NIS 10,000 per month**.**

Postdoctoral Fellowships

The WIS regular postdoctoral fellowship is uniform and it is not dependent on the field of research, the marital status, the location of residence, or on any other criteria. Currently, the gross sum of the regular monthly fellowship at WIS is NIS 8,960. For Information concerning deductions you may write to the Fellowships & HR Coordinator.

The WIS fellowship is funded either by the host or by a Dean of Faculty Fellowship (the funding can also be shared by both sources). Candidates should contact a potential host or apply for the Dean of Faculty Fellowshiprespectively.

In addition to the fellowship, regular postdoctoral fellows are entitled to a yearly travel allowance of $ 2,000.

Senior Postdoctoral FellowsFellowship

Senior postdoctoral fellows receive a monthly fellowship that is 25% higher than a regular postdoctoral fellowship.

Senior postdoctoral fellows are entitled to a yearly travel allowance that is 50% higher than the travel allowance of regular postdoctoral fellows.
