  • Eligible Course or Subjects:  PhD degree in AI-based material characterization for waste recycling
  • Eligibility Criteria:  To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
  • Applicants can be an Australian resident, permanent resident, or an international student
  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree and subsequent additional honours degree which is graded at first class or second class (upper division) and which includes a thesis or dissertation demonstrating the ability to undertake research at a PhD level; OR
  • Successful completion of a Masters by Research degree that included a dissertation, demonstrating the ability to undertake research at PhD level; OR
  • Current Federation University Australia Masters by Research candidate with sufficient research capability to demonstrate PhD capacity, assessed via a formal Confirmation of Candidature process; OR
  • Honours equivalence, for applicants who have completed a Master by coursework or have appropriate professional experience.

Offered Benefits

Each successful scholar will receive $29,140 per annum at Federation University.

Application Process

  • How to Apply:  Applicants must submit the a pplication for Admission Form. After that, candidates must submit the Dasma Environmental Scholarship Application Form along with their  HDR Application Form.
  • Supporting Documents:  Students must submit academic transcripts of all the previous school they attended, a copy of their passport, and a research proposal.
  • Admission Requirements:  Applicants must have to meet the following requirements:
  • 250-word summary of the intended project with title
  • Academic transcripts and certificates for all undergraduate and postgraduate tertiary study previously undertaken
  • Copy of your Australian honours and masters thesis abstract
  • Evidence of any professional research experience outside of formal study and expertise related to the planned research (where applicable).
  • English language proficiency test certificate i.e. IELTS/TOEFL (International applicants)
  • Personal statement of study purpose (International applicants) – see more information below.
  • Australian citizens must provide a copy of their birth certificate or passport
  • Permanent residents must provide a copy of their visa and passport
  • International applicants must provide a copy of their passport
  • Copies of contractual agreement with outside sponsor or institution (if applicable)
