International Journalists’ Programmes e.V. (IJP) is a non-profit, politically and economically independent German association founded in 1981 that promotes young journalists through international exchange fellowships. It supports journalists worldwide by providing scholarships for temporary work stays in different countries, fostering professional and personal ties, and helping journalists gain deeper insight into the culture, politics, and economy of host countries. The IJP network includes over 3,000 alumni from more than 50 countries.

The fellowship program is open to journalists aged 25 to 40 from Southern Africa (SADC Member States and Kenya) who regularly work for a media organisation.
