Father Guindon Student Assistance Fund at University of Ottawa in Canada for Bachelor Founded in 1848, University of Ottawa is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Ottawa (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Ontario. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Ontario, University of Ottawa (uOttawa) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: over-45,000 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Ottawa (uOttawa) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 171 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries:  Canadian nationals and international students can apply.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects:  Undergraduate-level degree programmes taught at the University of Ottawa can be applied for.
  • Eligibility Criteria:  To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be enrolled full-time for the first time in a university undergraduate program. 
  • The applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or have protected person or refugee status (unless otherwise indicated). 

Offered Benefits

The winning undergraduate students will be awarded a maximum sum of $20,000 from the Father Guindon Student Assistance Fund by the University of Ottawa. 

Application Process

  • How to Apply:  Admission applications must be directed to the  OUAC portal . All eligible candidates will be considered automatically. 
  • Supporting Documents:  The students are required to present high school transcripts. 
  • Admission Requirements:  The applicants must meet the admission requirements of the university for the program in question.
  • Language Requirement:  The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 6.5 
  • TOEFL IBT – 86
  • Duolingo – 120
  • PTE – 60 
  • CAE – C1
  • CAEL – 60
