Established in 1808, Soproni Egyetem (Sopron University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Sopron (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Gyor-Moson-Sopron. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Magyar Felsooktatási Akkreditációs Bizottság (Hungarian Accreditation Committee), Soproni Egyetem is a coeducational higher education institution. Soproni Egyetem offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

The scholarship covers student costs only; family members are not supported within the frame of this programme.
