The Scholarship is financed by the Hungarian Government, according to the Agreement between FAO and Hungary in 2007.

The following Master of Science degree courses are offered in English for the 2026–27 academic year:

  • Master in Agricultural Biotechnology – Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Szent István Campus, Gödöll? 
  • Master in Animal Nutrition and Feed Safety Engineering – Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Kaposvár Campus, Kaposvár
  • Master in Plant Protection – University of Debrecen, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management, Debrecen

FAO–Hungarian Government Masters Scholarship 2026–2027 Founded in 1912, Debreceni Egyetem (University of Debrecen) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Debrecen (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Hajdu-Bihar. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Nyíregyháza. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Magyar Felsooktatási Akkreditációs Bizottság (Hungarian Accreditation Committee), Debreceni Egyetem (DE) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 25,000-29,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Debreceni Egyetem (DE) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 107 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. Eligibility Criteria
