Faculty of Medicine and Health Regional NSW and Interstate Placement Travel Scholarship in Australia Established in 1850, The University of Sydney is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Sydney (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), New South Wales. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in the following coursework degrees within the Faculty of Medicine and Health:

    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Diagnostic Radiography)

    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sport Science)

    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology)

    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy)

    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy)

    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology)

    • Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced Studies)

    • Master of Diagnostic Radiography

    • Master of Exercise Physiology

    • Master of Occupational Therapy

    • Master of Physiotherapy

    • Doctor of Physiotherapy

    • Master of Speech Language Pathology

    • Master of Nursing

    • Master of Nutrition and Dietetics

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

    • Be a domestic or international student

    • Be currently enrolled full-time in one of the eligible coursework degrees

    • Be undertaking a mandatory placement in a regional NSW or interstate location as part of their course requirements

Offered Benefits

Recipients will receive a scholarship valued at up to $1000 to support travel and placement-related expenses.

Application Process

Applicants must submit their application online. To provide evidence of placement, students must:

  1. Log into Sonia

  2. Navigate to the Forms section

  3. Select the 2025 FMH Rural Travel Scholarship Placement form

  4. Generate and submit the letter of confirmation of placement with the application

Note: Applications without a confirmation letter will not meet eligibility requirements.
