Executive MPA European Scholarship


The Hertie School of Governance invites professionals from all sectors - from within Europe and beyond - and who work on European Affairs and EU-related issues, to apply for the Executive MPA European Scholarship for the next programme start of the Executive Master of Public Administration (Executive MPA) in September 2015.

The Executive MPA is an international executive master programme for professionals and executives from the public, private, and non-profit sectors offered by the Hertie School of Governance. The fully accredited programme provides expertise and additional qualifications in Management, Governance and Leadership and can be completed in 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time. All courses are held in English and at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. Strong cooperations with Copenhagen Business School (CBS), ESCP Europe, London School of Economics, SciencesPo, University of Bern and the Centre for Social Investment at the University of Heidelberg etc. support the programme.

The Executive MPA European Scholarship consists of a 50% reduction of the Executive MPA tuition fees (i.e. EUR 14,000). The funds will be granted with a view to the quality of the application, the candidate’s contribution to the diversity of the student body as well as the applicant’s financial need.

Executive MPA European Scholarship Founded in 1917, Handelshøjskolen i København (Copenhagen Business School) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Frederiksberg (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Capital Region of Denmark. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Uddannelses- og Forskningsministeriet (Ministry of Higher Education and Science, Denmark), Handelshøjskolen i København (CBS) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Handelshøjskolen i København (CBS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 102 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Application requirements:

  • For candidates currently working on European Affairs and EU-related issues
  • Strong motivation;
  • Higher education degree;
  • At least two years of relevant work experience;
  • Good command of English
