In partnership with the Breakthrough Prize Foundation, ALLEA has launched the European Funds for Displaced Scientists to support Ukrainian academic institutions affected by the war for the academic year 2022/2023.
The aim of this funding is to support Ukrainian academic institutions in the continuation and reinstatement of their scientific operations and research collaborations, as well as to support initiatives that facilitate the reintegration of researchers upon their return to Ukraine.

A fine chance for Ukraine students in Germany.All European Academies is the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities. It was founded in 1994 and brought together more than 50 Academies of Sciences and Learned Societies from over 40 member countries. Since May 2018, the President of ALLEA has been Antonio Loprieno. ALLEA speaks out on behalf of its members on the European and international stages, promotes science as a global public good, and facilitates scientific collaboration across borders and disciplines.
