The Euro-Russian Academic Network Plus (ERANET Plus) is built upon the solid foundation of the ERANET-MUNDUS2 project.
The objectives of the project are:
- To create lasting associations between Russian HEIs and the European HEIs, providing each institution the experience of the European model and guidance on how to develop new standards.
- To construct a stable mobility between Europe and Russia and to develop a solid framework for future collaborations.
- To meet the disciplinary requirements of interdisciplinary research such as the natural sciences, geography and geology, economics and the social sciences, culture, language and philology, and engineering and technology.
- To build bridges for scientists investigating Environmental Sustainability on Climate Change, to promote awareness of the problematic nature of these rapid changes, and to provide support to develop new networks related to the issue.
- To create connections for international cooperation in civil rights and citizenship, sustainable development, and safety based on an economy and a society more ecologically motivated.
- To promote awareness of the cultural and linguistic diversity that will guarantee an intercultural education, and find a remedy to the problematic language accreditation system in Russia.
- To train new generations of teachers, doctors, researchers, and professors with a wide range of languages and broad cultural awareness.
Brief Description
The project, coordinated by the University of Barcelona, is composed of ten European institutions, ten Russian institutions, and five associated partners.
The number of mobility flows is 160. The total percentage of TG1 is 65% (counting for 104 of the scholarships awarded); TG2 will account for a 26% (41 scholarships); TG3 includes 9% of the scholarships (15 scholarships) awarded in the call.
The ERANET Plus project promotes a flexible mobility structure focused on the demand for specific subject areas. Therefore, all fields of study are covered: Agriculture Sciences; Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning; Art and Design; Business Studies, Management Science; Education, Teacher Training; Engineering, Technology; Geography, Geology; Humanities; Languages and Philology; Law; Mathematics, Informatics; Medical Sciences; Natural Sciences; Social Sciences; Communication and Information Science; and other areas of study. The diversity of languages, areas of study, and cultures covered by the programme is the cornerstone of this project, as it will provide a cornerstone for the involvement of the grantholders.
Eligibility Criteria
European students
To be eligible, European undergraduate and master's students as well as doctorate and post-doctorate candidates, referred as "European students":
- Must be a national of one of the eligible European countries;
- For Target Group 1 (TGI): students need to be registered at one of the European countries HEIs within the partnership at the time of submitting their application to the partnership. Undergraduate students must have successfully completed at least one year of studies at their home institution;
- For Target Group 2 (TGII): students need either to be registered at a HEI (not included in the partnership) in any European country or have obtained a university degree or equivalent from a HEI in any European country;
- Must have sufficient knowledge of the language of the courses or of one of the languages currently spoken in the host countries;
- Undergraduate students must have successfully completed at least one year of studies at first higher education level.
Russian students
To be eligible, Russian undergraduate and master students as well as doctoral and post-doctoral candidates, referred as "third-country students":
- Must be a national of Russia;
- Must have not resided nor have carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the eligible European countries at the time of submitting their application to the partnership. This rule does not apply to TGIII candidates;
- For Target Group 1 (TGI): students need to be registered at one of the member universities within the partnership at the time of submitting their application to the partnership. Undergraduate students must have successfully completed at least one year of studies in their home institution;
- For Target Group 2 (TGII): students need either to be registered in a university (not included in the partnership) of Russia or to have obtained a university degree orequivalent from a HEI of Russia;
- For Target Group 3 (TGIII): students need to be nationals of Russia and be part of the vulnerable target groups;
- Must have sufficient knowledge of the language of the courses or of one of the languages currently spoken in the host countries.
Academic and administrative staff
In order to be eligible, academic and administrative staff henceforth referred to as "staff":
- Must be a national of Russia or a European country;
- For Target Group 1 (TGI): Russian staff must work in or be associated with one of the Russian universities participating in the partnership. EU staff must work in or be associated with one of the European Universities participating in the partnership.
Offered Benefits
Grants include a monthly allowance, travel expenses, participation costs, and full insurance coverage.
