Are you passionate about finding solutions to the climate emergency? Do you have innovative ideas for how the world can move away from fossil fuels while ensuring economic and climate justice? Then the Cap and Share Policy Competition is for you!
We invite Young Changemakers - activists, academics, policy professionals, and climate advocates from across the globe to submit their best policy ideas for implementing Cap and Share – a transformative climate finance and mitigation system designed to end fossil fuel extraction while redistributing wealth to communities most impacted by the climate crisis.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: You must be 35 years or younger as of 1 December 2024.
- Social Media: If you have a Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn account, please ensure you have followed Equal Right using the links at the bottom of this page
- Language: All submissions should be in English Language only
- Eligibility: We welcome participants from all backgrounds and regions across the globe. However, this competition is only open to individuals (no applications from teams or organisations).
- Amplify: Please sign the Cap and Share Supporter’s Pledge to demonstrate your support for these ideas!
While this competition is open to anyone who is passionate about climate justice, and meets the requirements above, we are particularly seeking submissions from people from the Global South and their diaspora, women, indigenous people, members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals from low-income households, people with disabilities, and those from any other underrepresented groups or backgrounds. Submissions from these groups will be given additional weight in the assessment process. This is a unique opportunity to advocate for innovative climate solutions and make your voice heard in the global policy space.
