To mark International E-Waste Day 2025, EPRON and its partner organizations is inviting Junior and Senior Secondary School students across Nigeria to take part in the IEWD 2025 Essay Competition.

Competition Details

1. Junior Secondary - Essay Topic: Securing critical raw materials for off-grid renewable energy equipment by advancing circular economy 

2. Senior Secondary - Essay Topic: Advancing A Just Transition Through Urban Mining to Secure Critical Raw Materials

Eligibility Criteria

  • It is open to Junior and Senior Secondary School students (JSS 1-3 and SSS 1-3).
  • Essays must be original and written in English.
  • Each student is permitted to submit only one essay.
