Engineering: Fully Funded EPSRC & TCGA PhD Scholarship Established in 1920, Swansea University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Swansea (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Wales. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Swansea University is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Swansea University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 99 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should hold a minimum of an upper second class (2:1) honours degree (or its equivalent) in Engineering or similar relevant discipline (Geology, Geomechanics, Computational Mechanics).

Good knowledge of nonlinear mechanics and computer programming skills (FORTRAN/C/MATLAB) are highly desirable.
