The University of Exeter is providing up to 5 fully funded doctoral studentships for entry in January 2025, in collaboration with the EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) as part of its Doctoral Training Partnership.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have a First or Upper Second Class UK Honours degree, or an equivalent qualification from outside the UK, in a relevant area of science or technology. Those with a Lower Second Class degree may still qualify if they hold a Master’s degree or have significant relevant work experience.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in various subjects offered by the University of Exeter within departments such as Biosciences, Clinical and Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics and Astronomy, Psychology, Public Health and Sport Sciences, and the Business School.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Have obtained or be about to obtain a First or Upper Second Class UK Honours degree, or the equivalent qualifications gained outside the UK, in an appropriate area of science or technology.
  • Applicants with a Lower Second Class degree will be considered if they also have a Master’s degree or significant relevant non-academic experience.
  • Non-native English speakers must meet English language requirements.
