Energy Engineering: Fully Funded PhD at Swansea University: Energy Storage for Zero Carbon 2050 Established in 1920, Swansea University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Swansea (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Wales. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, Swansea University is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 15,000-19,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Swansea University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 99 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should hold a minimum of upper second class (2:1) honours degree (or its equivalent) in engineering, physical science or similar relevant discipline.

Electronic device fabrication experience and an understanding of microelectronics are highly desirable.

Candidates should be highly motivated and wishing to develop their skills and work with industry to improve the impact of their work, whilst producing high quality academic output.

Due to funding restrictions, this scholarship is open to UK/EU candidates only.

Offered Benefits

This scholarship covers the full cost of UK/EU tuition fees and an annual stipend of £15,009.

There will be additional funds available for attending conferences and other necessary expenses where required.
