We are glad to announce the first-ever call for applications for the ESI Research Grant for undergraduates in Nigeria. A maximum of #50,000 will be awarded to eligible students currently undertaking their undergraduate research project in any science program in a Nigerian University. This grant will cover part of the consumables budget of awardees.E

Requirements for ESI Undergraduate Scholarship

  • Must be an undergraduate from a Nigerian University
  • Must be in your final year
  • Must have started or will be starting your undergraduate research project on or before May 2024
  • Must be studying a biological or physical science course

Application Documents

  • Must provide a personal statement explaining why you should be awarded the grant and a breakdown of how you intend to spend the money (not more than #50,000 budget) - a maximum of 200 words.
  • You must also provide a supporting statement from your supervisor - a maximum of 200 words.
