The Emera Scholarship for Employees’ Children offers one (1) non-renewable $2,000 award to children/dependents of regular employees or retirees of Emera Inc., Emera Energy, Emera New Brunswick, and Emera Newfoundland & Labrador. Past recipient winners are welcome to re-apply each year. ?

Application Process

Required Documents:

To qualify please complete the Emera Employees’ Children Scholarship online application by uploading the following mandatory documents:

  1. Your resume;
  2. Your High School transcript (Grade 10-12, including fall semester marks);
  3. A minimum of one reference letter. You may submit up to three letters, however at least one reference is to be provided by your Teacher, Guidance Counsellor, Vice-Principal or Principal in support of your application;
  4. Your estimated first year budget (please click on  this template link to open the document);
  5. And finally; your essay* of max 500 words.
