  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in an undergraduate degree offered by the following departments at Royal Holloway: English, History, Biological Sciences, Earth Sciences, Geography, Psychology, or Physics.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Hold an offer to study an undergraduate degree in one of the eligible departments at Royal Holloway.

  • Have Home (UK) fee status.

  • Have achieved, or be expected to achieve, AAA at A-Level or an equivalent qualification (e.g. DDD in a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma).

  • Demonstrate outstanding academic potential and financial need.

  • Have a verified household income of less than £25,000, as confirmed by the Student Loans Company.

  • Have applied for, or intend to apply for, Student Finance.

Application Process

Applicants must submit their application through the Royal Holloway applicant portal. As part of the application, candidates are required to upload a scholarship statement of no more than 400 words addressing:

  • Future aspirations and how the scholarship will help achieve these goals

Applicants must also confirm:

  • That their household income is below £25,000
