Ekiti State 2023 Scholarship & Bursary Awards For Nigerian Students for Bachelor

Eligibility Criteria

1. Scholarship Awards:
   1. Undergraduate students must be in their 2nd year or above, possess WASSCE/NECO with a minimum of five credits, including English Language and Mathematics in one sitting, and have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 (universities), 3.50 (polytechnics), or 3.50 (NCE) in their current institutions of study.
   2. Master’s Degree applicants must have a minimum of 2nd Class (Upper Division) at the undergraduate level.
   3. Ph.D. Scholarship Award applicants must have a grade of distinction in their Master’s Degree and a minimum of 2nd Class (Upper Division) at the undergraduate level. A letter of recommendation from the university is also required.
   4. Physically challenged students in tertiary institutions (NCE, ND, College of Health Tech, School of Nursing/Midwifery, HND, and postgraduates) are eligible for the Scholarship Award.
   5. Students on part-time and sandwich courses are not eligible for the Scholarship Awards.
2. Bursary Awards: All students, including physically challenged postgraduate students, can apply for Bursary Awards.

Guidelines for application:

1. Advertisement for the scholarship Scheme is placed in electronics and print media by the Ekiti State Scholarship Board.
2. Each application form must be filled correctly on - line by the applicant and print - out must be verified with the Institution’s official stamp/seal clearly impressed on it.
3. Any application form not downloaded from the official Scholarship website for the year 2023/2024 Scholarship award is invalid.
4. The completed application form must contain the applicant’s current CGPA boldly written and authenticated by the Head of Department. The Registrar will confirm whether he/she is full time or a part time student.
5. The application form for bursary must be stamped and endorsed by the Chairman of the applicant’s Local Government Area.
6. The completed application form must be submitted within the stipulated period as contained in the advertisement.
7. Application forms are downloaded free of charge on-line at the Scholarship Board website: https://scholarship.ekitistate.gov.ng.
8. Late submission of form is not acceptable to the Board.

Free application forms for eligible students can be obtained at the Ekiti State Scholarship Board, New Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti. Applicants must apply online through the Ekiti State Scholarship Board website.

NB: All prospective applicants must submit their hard copy application forms on or before Friday, 15th June 2023. Late application forms will not be accepted by the Board.

Required Documents:

To forestall fraud and/or impersonation, an applicant shall submit along with the application form, certified copies of the underlisted:

1. The current school fees payment receipts
2. Institution’s identification cards
3. Letter of identification from Head of Department
4. Certified transcript by the Registrar of the Institution.
5. Certified copies of credentials
6. Certificate of Local Government origin.
7. 3 Years Tax Payment Certificate and Development Levy receipts of applicant’s parent.
