The University of Galway, with support from the Michael Guinee Charitable Foundation, is pleased to announce the launch of the Dr. Karen Guinee Scholarship for first-year Medicine students (GY501). Valued at €6,250 per year for the full duration of the degree, this scholarship aims to support students who face financial or personal obstacles in accessing higher education.
Eligibility for the Scholarship is open to students entering Year 1 of the GY501 Undergraduate Medicine program at the University of Galway, either on the 5-year or 6-year degree track. Applicants must submit a personal statement highlighting financial or personal obstacles to education and provide a reference letter from their high school Principal or Vice Principal.
