Digby and Area Health Service Charitable Foundation Medicine Scholarship 2025 for Master

Eligibility Criteria

• Be a resident of Atlantic Canada

• Be accepted into or currently enrolled in a Doctor of Medicine program at an accredited Canadian university

• Demonstrate academic excellence

• Be willing to commit to one year of physician service in the Digby area for each year the scholarship is awarded (to begin within five years of graduation)

• Submit a complete application package with all required documentation

Offered Benefits

Up to $10,000 per recipient, awarded annually.

Application Process

• Ensure Eligibility

  • Must be a resident of Atlantic Canada

  • Must be accepted to or enrolled in a Doctor of Medicine program at an accredited Canadian university

  • Must be willing to commit to one year of physician service in the Digby Area for each year the scholarship is received (to begin within five years of graduation)

• Prepare Your Application Package
  Include all of the following documents in one complete package:

  • A current Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • Proof of acceptance or enrollment in a Canadian medical school

  • An official transcript of your most recent academic record

  • A headshot photo

  • A letter of intent/motivation responding to the following:

    • Why are you interested in the Digby & Area Health Service Charitable Foundation?

    • Why do you want to practice in Digby, Nova Scotia?

    • What non-academic challenges do medical students face, and how could the Foundation help?

    • How can the Foundation support your medical studies?
