Digby and Area Health Service Charitable Foundation Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Scholarship 2025 for Course

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify and apply for the LPN Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be a resident of Atlantic Canada

• Be accepted into or currently enrolled in a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate program at an accredited Canadian institution

• Commit to providing one year of nursing service in the Digby area for each year the scholarship is received (service to begin within five years of licensing)

• Maintain academic excellence to be eligible for renewal (up to two additional years)

• Submit a complete application package, including:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance

  • Official academic transcript

  • Headshot photo

  • Letter of intent addressing:

    • Why you want to practice in Digby

    • Non-academic challenges LPN students face and how the Foundation can help

    • How the Foundation supports your education

    • What attracted you to the Foundation

Offered Benefits

• $2,500 per recipient, awarded annually toward tuition

• Three scholarships available each year

• Renewable for up to two additional years, based on academic performance and continued enrollment

Application Process

1. Confirm Eligibility

   • Be a resident of Atlantic Canada

   • Be accepted or enrolled in an accredited LPN certificate program in Canada

   • Be willing to work in the Digby area for one year per year of funding received

2. Prepare and Submit One Complete Application Package
   Include:

   • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

   • Proof of enrollment or acceptance

   • Official transcript

   • Headshot photo

   • Letter of intent, addressing:
