This programme places early-career scholars from all SDU faculties within DIAS’s international network of researchers and equips them with the resources and training to bolster their interdisciplinary scholarship.
To be eligible for the DIAS Visiting Fellow Programme, applicants must be postdocs or assistant professors at SDU on a non-tenured/non-permanent contract. They must commit to a 2-semester term from September to June, though shorter terms (minimum 1 semester) may be considered based on the rationale presented. Additionally, the fellowship term must not exceed the applicant’s contract duration at SDU. The programme provides a short-term DIAS fellowship, a collective funding stipend, and access to various activities in a vibrant community of researchers from multiple disciplines.The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) is a prominent institution of higher education located in the south-western part of Denmark. Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- Must be a postdoc or assistant professor at SDU (PhD-holders on a non-tenured/non-permanent contract).
- Must commit to a 2-semester term from September to June. Shorter terms (minimum 1 semester) will be considered based on the rationale presented in the motivation letter.
- The fellowship term must not exceed the applicant’s contract term at SDU. If the contract does not extend until June, the projected end date must be identified in the motivation letter, along with any expected contract extensions.

- Interest in interdisciplinary research and drive for participating in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Desired length of term.
- Current teaching obligations and other factors (e.g., campus location and/or commute) that will impact your ability to participate in weekly Tuesday and Wednesday meetings at DIAS.
- A standard academic CV.
