The University of Edinburgh and Deutsche Post DHL will offer 15 scholarships to students for undergraduate study in an eligible programme within Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) offered by the University commencing in academic year 2017-2018.

Deutsche Post DHL Scholarships for Master Established in 1583, The University of Edinburgh is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Edinburgh (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Scotland. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Privy Council, The University of Edinburgh is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 40,000-44,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Edinburgh offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. This 436 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarships are open to UK, EU and overseas students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an eligible postgraduate Master's programme of study at the University of Edinburgh.

Applications from students studying a one-year taught Master's degree in one of the following eligible subject areas are considered:

  • MSc in Carbon Capture and Storage
  • MSc in Carbon Finance
  • MSc in Carbon Management
  • MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems
  • LLM in Global Environment & Climate Change Law

Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer. Candidates who already hold full sponsorship are not eligible for the Deutsche Post DHL Scholarships.

Offered Benefits

The scholarship covers an annual maintenance allowance of £2,000 and is tenable for the duration of the programme of study.
