The Destination Australia Scholarship have been established under the Commonwealth government’s Destination Australia Program. The purpose of which is to attract and support international and domestic students to study in regional Australia, to grow and develop regional Australian tertiary education providers and offer students a high quality learning experience.

 The scholarship has been established as a result of Grant Funding provided by the Commonwealth of Australia as part of the International Education Support program.

Destination Australia Scholarship For Domestic And International Students for Bachelor Established in 1966, Flinders University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the large city of Adelaide (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), South Australia. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Alice Springs, Darwin, Riverland, Mount Gambier and Port Lincoln. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, Flinders University (Flin) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Flinders University (Flin) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. Eligibility Criteria

An applicant must:

  • Be commencing a bachelor’s degree at the Riverland campus of Flinders University; and
  • Maintain ongoing residency in a regional area as defined by the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard Remoteness Structure from the Australian Bureau of Statistics; and
  • Be enrolled full-time.

International recipients are also required to maintain a Student Visa for the duration of the scholarship.

Offered Benefits

  • There will be 12 scholarships available to domestic students and 2 for international students.
  • Scholarships will be valued at $15,000 per annum for the duration of the recipient’s program, up to a maximum of three years.
  • Payment will be made in two instalments per annum after the census date of each semester.
