The University of Newcastle has established the Delta Electricity Scholarship in Australia for the academic year 2025-2026.

Applicants must be enrolled in an eligible program, reside in or study within the Central Coast LGA, and demonstrate academic excellence through an ATAR of 95+ or a GPA of 6.0. Delta Electricity Scholarship in Australia for Bachelor Founded in 1965, The University of Newcastle is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Callaghan (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), New South Wales. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Australia (including New Zealand Permanent Residents).
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects:
    • Bachelor of Environmental Science
    • Bachelor of Business
    • Environmental Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical/Electronic Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
    • Be enrolled in one of the eligible programs.
    • Reside in or study at the Central Coast Local Government Area (LGA).
    • Demonstrate academic excellence with:
      • ATAR or equivalent of 95+ for commencing students, OR
      • GPA of 6.0 for continuing students.
    • Be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident (including New Zealand Permanent Residents).
    • Not hold any other University of Newcastle donor-funded or sponsored scholarship concurrently.

Offered Benefits

The successful applicant will receive a one-time payment of $5,000, disbursed as a lump sum after the Semester One census date.

Application Process

Applicants must submit the following via the University of Newcastle’s online scholarship portal:

  1. A personal statement (approximately one A4 page) outlining academic achievements, career aspirations, and how the scholarship will assist.
  2. Up to three documents demonstrating academic achievements, such as awards, internships, or a CV.
  3. Note: UON transcripts are not required for current students.
