The Dean’s Award for Excellence in a PhD Thesis recognizes outstanding doctoral research within the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music. Open to both domestic and international graduate researchers, this award honors the most exceptional PhD thesis demonstrating significant academic impact, creativity, and contribution to the arts.

Applicants must have completed the Doctor of Philosophy in Fine Arts and Music. Both domestic and international graduate researchers are automatically considered based on academic excellence, examiner reports, supervisor recommendations, and the research’s impact or recognition through publications, performances, or exhibitions.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for research in Fine Arts and Music, including music, visual arts, and performing arts.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Have completed the Doctor of Philosophy – Fine Arts and Music.
  • Be among the highest-ranked graduate researchers as evaluated by the selection panel.
  • Demonstrate exceptional research impact or potential impact, evidenced through examiner reports, supervisor recommendations, publications, performances, exhibitions, or community/professional recognition.
