Dean of Business and Economics Merit Scholarships at University of Tasmania for Bachelor Founded in 1890, University of Tasmania is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Hobart (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Tasmania. This institution has also branch campuses in the following location(s): Launceston, Burnie. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Department of Education and Training, Australia, University of Tasmania (UTAS) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 30,000-34,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. University of Tasmania (UTAS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 129 years old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Australian higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

Available to high achieving offshore and onshore International students who have an offer of a place in eligible Business and Economics course\* when commencing their first year in 2022.
Students must have met the minimum academic requirements as determined by an assessment made by the University of Tasmania on the basis of country-specific grading scales.
Eligible courses include:
All College of Business and Economics undergraduate or Honours coursework programs (excluding double degrees with other Colleges).
To maintain this scholarship students are required to achieve a Credit (5.0/7.0) cumulative grade point average (CGPA) at the end of each study period.

Offered Benefits

Each scholarship covers 50% of registered tuition fees (includes Students Services and Amenities Fees) for the duration of the course.

Application Process

Students are assessed automatically upon submission of their International Student Application so there is no need to apply separately.
